Jared starts a neighborhood lawn business with an electric scooter and a little yellow wagon in tow, saving all his earnings to keep buying new equipment and expanding operations.
Years of saved earnings become an F-250 and a 16-foot trailer. The neighborhood operation starts to look like a real company.
Jared hires his first full-time employees and already owns four vehicles. The business now runs beyond what one person can mow.
It was a tough decision to step away, but Jared attends Baylor University while his mom and his manager run the business. He graduates with a BBA triple major in Entrepreneurship, Business, and Real Estate.
Jared returns to a stable business that had plateaued and leads Everything Outdoors, with the help of a great team, at an average growth rate of 95% per year, focused on the future of the company and the impact it can make on the community.
Jared was awarded Outstanding Participation for all Service Projects in 2013 by Tampa Bay Beautiful for his work on the Florida Learning Garden. A graduate of H.B. Plant High School, he later designed and donated a full re-landscape of the historic campus, more than $17,000 in plants and labor, free of charge.
That same spirit runs through every EO donation project, from Starting Right Now's training facility to Coleman Middle School's courtyard garden.
