This backyard began as a forgotten space, overwhelmed by a dilapidated deck and unruly terrain. What was once neglected and unusable has been transformed into a stunning, multi-tiered retreat that blends thoughtful design with the natural beauty of its riverfront setting.
The design began by stripping the space down to bare earth, allowing for a complete reimagining of the landscape. Thoughtfully constructed retaining walls carve out usable levels that gracefully step down to the riverbank, creating a seamless connection between the home and the water.
The finished retreat now boasts 1,500 square feet of elegant pavers and over 200 linear feet of retaining walls that anchor the design. A cozy fire pit area offers the perfect spot to unwind just steps from the river's edge. As dusk falls, landscape lighting highlights lush plantings and hardscape details, casting a warm glow across the space and extending its usability well into the evening.
With multiple areas to lounge, gather, and enjoy the calming presence of the river, this backyard makeover brings a whole new meaning to waterside living.
